Our mission is to connect guests with the local flavors and culture through engaging, informative, and fun experiences. We’re looking for passionate Food Tour Guides to be the energetic and knowledgeable face of our tours.
 
Job Summary:
As a Food Tour Guide, you will lead small groups of guests through curated tastings at some of Charlottesville’s top eateries, sharing insider knowledge about the dishes, chefs, and local food culture. You’ll create a warm, engaging atmosphere, ensuring every guest leaves with a deeper appreciation for Charlottesville’s culinary landscape and a memorable experience.
 
Key Responsibilities:
•    Lead and engage groups on walking food tours in Downtown Charlottesville, sharing interesting stories, facts, and culinary insights. 
•    Represent C-ville Bites with professionalism, enthusiasm, and excellent guest service. 
•    Answer guest questions and tailor the experience to accommodate diverse interests and dietary needs when possible. 
•    Maintain a safe, friendly, and inclusive environment throughout the tour. 
 
Skills & Qualifications:
•    Passion for food and local culture. 
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable speaking to groups of varying sizes. 
•    Strong organizational and time management abilities. 
•    Ability to walk and stand for several hours at a time. 
•    Friendly, approachable, and energetic personality. 
•    Previous tour guiding, hospitality, or customer service experience is a plus but not required. 
 
Additional Information:
•    Flexible part-time schedule but must be able to work weekends and evenings. 
•    Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. 
•    Compensation includes hourly pay plus potential tips.
